Our Internal Auditors are consultants and researchers, working closely with business areas to review processes and determine strategies and controls that resolve any issues, improve productivity and drive business and product objectives. Our Internal Auditors undertake structured audits as well as unstructured audits that will enable the business to identify risks that occur within business strategies. Additionally, they work closely with third party auditors, and take on leadership efforts by managing projects and building audit programs. By working on audits that are heavily concerned with business strategy, our Internal Auditors have the opportunity to learn how business areas function and expand their career growth opportunities. You will also lead internal consulting projects focused on improving the quality and efficiency of critical processes across various Progressive business functions. These projects can include new product and service launches, process change initiatives, new system implementations and conversions, and other enterprise-wide risk management and control related projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Associate's degree - Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred
3 years related work experience
Certifications: CPA or CIA and/or Green Belt or equivalent certification - required within 24 months of hire
Expert communication with impact & empathy, able to drive change and influence business constituents; communicates information timely to ensure effective operations.
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving ability to drive process control improvements/effectiveness to our business processes that enhance performance - able to simplify information or situations to provide clarity and support a decision
Strong ability to apply audit standards & processes from both professional standards and control & audit methodologies - able to contribute to the advancement of internal methodologies
Knowledge of Process Audit and/or Accounting & Financial Audit
Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions and deliver value through practical recommendations
Proven ability to influence others
Excellent analytical, problem solving and financial skills
Project management experience
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
