Job Description
Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of
standard techniques procedures, and criteria. Is recognized as fully competent in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or functional area assignments RELATED TO VALVES, GEARS OR PUMPS.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Plans, schedules, and coordinates
detailed phases of the engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice, but includes a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related specialties.
Responsibility for the Direction of Others: May supervise a few Engineers or Technicians on routine work.
