Why Choose Meaden & Moore for your Career Home?

Your Career.   At Meaden & Moore, we recognize that our success as a firm is incumbent on your success as an individual.  That’s why we offer you much more than a job and a paycheck.  It’s more like a launch pad for a promising career in a dynamic profession.  You can count on a competitive salary, annual performance reviews, and a full range of competitive medical and retirement benefits.

The Firm.   Meaden & Moore is one of the oldest and most respected accounting firms in the country.  It was established in 1919 by Douglas S. Meaden and Vernon J. Moore, as they merged their independent practices to create the new firm.  Headquartered in Cleveland, the firm has 13 offices nationwide providing full-service accounting, financial, and management consulting services.

With more than 180 employees, Meaden & Moore is large enough to provide staff accountants with opportunities to work on challenging assignments, yet small enough that co-workers recognize each other on a first-name basis.  Our structure allows staff accountants to work on a wide variety of assignments involving different types of clients.  The low manager-to-staff ratio gives you day-in, day-out interaction with firm executives.

The People.   People are our most vital asset, providing the strength behind our reputation, technical excellence and top-notch quality service.  We strive to build a caring culture in which employees develop professionally and personally.

We have a diverse mix of people with a wide variety of interests and talents.  Our employees are alumni from a large number of higher education institutions.   We encourage our people to nurture their outside interests as much as their professional interests.  We encourage friendship among associates, especially by hosting various events like an annual holiday party, golf outing, and group volunteer activities, to name a few.  We believe in accounting, but we believe in life beyond accounting too.

Integrity and Quality.   We have been successful because we maintain an uncompromising commitment to the highest ideals of integrity and quality.  We can be of no value to our clients unless they can rely on us to perform to exacting professional standards.  Our reputation is evidence of our excellence in delivering the highest standards of professional integrity and quality service to our clients.

As members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, we are required to participate in an extensive peer review program every three years.  Under this program, we have undergone seven peer reviews and have received seven “unqualified opinions”—a clear reflection of our outstanding commitment to quality control.

Professional Development.   Committed to your professional development, Meaden & Moore provides continuing education seminars and courses specifically matched to your professional goals.  Along with this, you will benefit from the practical experience that comes with extensive on-the-job training and interaction with management.

You will not work in isolation, but in small engagement teams directly with members of client management.  Through informal and formal reviews, you will receive regular, constructive feedback on your performance to help you grow to become a trusted business advisor.  As a result, our clients will come to regard you as someone they can turn to for proactive advice and creative solutions.

Resources.   We go well beyond basic financial statements and tax returns for our clients.  We transcend the everyday issues to assist our clients with strategic direction and help them become more effective and profitable.  We offer services in areas like cost and financial management, information systems, mergers and acquisitions, employee benefit plans, executive compensation, and estate planning.

As the business world becomes more global, Meaden & Moore keeps pace via its affiliation with AGN.  AGN is a worldwide association of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms who share resources and expertise to the benefit of their clients doing business all over the world.

Joining the Meaden & Moore Team.   We’re looking for individuals with an outstanding academic background, strong interpersonal skills, a balance between personal and professional life, and motivation to succeed.
