I'd Hire You in a NY Minute!

Such a busy season for your job search coach! In the past 30 days, I've been honored by spots on NBC-4 and The Columbus Dispatch. Next week I'm speaking at Ohio University Scripps School of Journalism.

But my most meaningful experience came from my recent press release in our little neighborhood newspaper. A job seeker clipped and pasted it with a note of congratulations, a resume and a statement explaining how she'd love a spot in my company. What a beautiful tactic! I had almost forgotten to teach this to my clients!

Ever try congratulating stranger with a unique cut-out of his good fortune? It flatters the toughest of bosses and demonstrates your creativity. We're fully staffed but I'll refer her to others that may require an intern. That's how careers begin!

I'll be appearing at the CareerBoard Job Fair at Myers University on March 30. Drop in and bring that resume for a free critique (if you dare!).
