CareerBoard Unveils Streaming Video Option for Employers
Employment Web site's clients can now utilize streaming video to enhance their job postings and build brand awareness

Cleveland - In an effort to help employers create a better identity with job candidates, CareerBoard.com has added streaming video to their product offering for member companies.

Akron General Medical Center is the first client to take advantage of this new service, with access to their presentation currently seen via all their job postings on CareerBoard. You may also click here to view their video.

"We're incredibly excited about this new offering," said Peter Tuttle, president of CareerBoard. "Video helps create a positive first impression and an identity for companies to candidates that text in a job posting simply cannot do."

CareerBoard is one of the first online employment services - nationwide, statewide or locally - to take advantage of this technology in an effort to improve recruiting.

"The online environment as a whole is still relatively cold and distant, especially in regards to online employment sites," said Tuttle. "Streaming video helps put a face with an employer and makes the entire job search process warmer and more personal."

"We saw an opportunity in streaming video to really connect with people wanting to know more about the opportunities and culture of our organization," said Don Corpora, director, recruitment and human resources information systems for Akron General Medical Center. "Additionally, in our market, we're the only employer I know of using such an innovative way to connect with candidates."

CareerBoard hopes to promote streaming video to their own client-base in the coming months, as well as target prospects.
