Columbus Urban League Partners with
CareerBoard.com
Move helps expand Urban League services to its constituents.
Cleveland – The Columbus Urban League has partnered with
CareerBoard.com to provide job posting content and career resources on the
Urban League’s website, www.cul.org.
The move will enable the Urban League to provide easy access for its constituents to jobs specifically located in the central Ohio job market. Career development services are a core offering of the Urban League so adding a career center makes sense.
Jeremy Polley, director of career
development services, said, “The alliance between the Columbus Urban League and
CareerBoard is a great opportunity to expand online services the League
provides. We look forward to utilizing this fantastic resource in helping the
Urban League achieve our goals of job placement.”
The move also gives Columbus-area employers
a new way to embrace diversity. “What a tremendous way to enrich the workforce
of Columbus," said CareerBoard president Peter Tuttle,” Local employers
now have an opportunity to get their job openings in front of a rich, diverse
pool of talent that they have maybe never accessed before."
The Columbus Urban League was founded in
1918 and is an affiliate of the National Urban League. The organization has
built a reputation as a results-oriented agency, advocate of change, and a
leader in the community. By building solid relationships with businesses and
individuals, the League has created programs that meet the diverse needs of
Columbus, while fulfilling its mission which has always been to help African
Americans and disadvantaged citizens enhance their social and economic well
being.
