A JOB IN OHIO JUST GOT A LITTLE EASIER
CareerBoard.com and
LocalCareers.com announce their joint partnership
Cleveland –
April 2, 2002 – CareerBoard.com, a regional online job search company that specializes
in connecting local candidates with local employers, and LocalCareers.com, a
network of local career sites throughout the United States including
OhioJobs.com, has formed a partnership to provide local job seekers with
increased employment opportunities, and companies with greater exposure for
their postings. The partnership significantly increases job seeker
traffic for CareerBoard’s Wisconsin-based clients, and expands services to all
of Ohio. OhioJobs.com is now part of
the CareerBoard.com network. All
current and future employment listings found on OhioJobs.com will merge into
the CareerBoard.com Web site. “This arrangement puts us into a position to compete
with national job boards, while maintaining the local and personal touch,” said
Peter Tuttle, president of CareerBoard.com.
“Our alliance allows us to work together as one company to increase
visibility for our clients and provide eager job seekers with a greater pool of
local opportunity to tap into.” Companies can expect a considerable boost in job
seeker traffic. The expanded networks
currently receive 20 million hits per month, reach 250,000 unique visitors and
post over 2,200 employer jobs. In Ohio,
CareerBoard.com currently posts 1,300 jobs for over 300 Ohio-based
companies. “The strategic alliance will enable us to expand our
‘local focus service’ nationally,” said Tuttle. “In the near term, our Ohio clients that have nationwide staffing
needs will be able to post their out-of-state openings through CareerBoard.com
to selected cities throughout the country.” Additionally, LocalCareers.com will market CareerBoard.com to the five states they currently serve: Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, and California, bringing more jobs to Ohio job seekers. CareerBoard.com and
LocalCareers.com plan to utilize the local career network to expand CareerBoard
operations in neighboring states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky,
and Indiana. Currently, CareerBoard’s
Milwaukee site, www.Milwaukee.CareerBoard.com, has merged into
WiJobs.com, another site operated by LocalCareers.com. Headquartered in Cleveland, CareerBoard.com is a
network of online job sites that exclusively features local jobs for local
talent. Established in 1997,
