Regulatory Specialist - Operational/Regulatory Risk - Permanent - Hybrid - £120k

My client are revolutionizing operational risk management for the world's leading financial institutions. Backed by top banks such as JP Morgan, Citi, Barclays, Lloyds, and BNP, they committed to building a new infrastructure that empowers banks to objectively manage their risk control landscape. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering our offerings related to regulations.

Main Duties:

• Conduct research to develop or improve out clients current offering on regulation, including developing and improving the methodology used to map controls to regulatory obligations.
• Optimize the sourcing of regulations and regulatory obligations.
• Serve as the "reg expert" within the Intelligence & Analytics team and lead regulation-related client-facing interactions.
• Prepare analysis for the presentation of results and insights to clients, including handling large datasets and extracting insights.

Requirements:

• 4-10 years of relevant regulatory experience in a diverse role within a bank or financial services consulting/analytics firm.
• Solid understanding of investment banking and financial services industries.
• Understanding of banking regulatory environment in UK, US, Continental Europe, and/or Switzerland; MiFID II knowledge and experience desirable.
• Strong academic background in Finance, Statistics, and Accounting or equivalent.
• Proficiency in analysing large datasets and creating common trends among complex and unstructured datasets.
