Internal Model Actuary (Contract)

Internal Model Actuary

We're currently recruiting for an Internal Model Actuary to support our Major Model Change project. A particular focus will be to ensure that the model's documentation accurately reflects the methodology being developed and meets the standards required by Solvency II and our internal policies, but there is also the possibility of being involved in broader aspects of the project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting updates to Solvency II documentation, to the necessary high standards.
  • Engaging with modelling teams and other stakeholders to understand the changes being made and their implications.
  • Supporting calibration and impact analysis as required.
  • Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • This role is well suited to an actuary with knowledge of Solvency II, a keen eye for detail and the ability to quickly get to grips with complex topics.
  • Education - Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent)
  • Languages - English

Desirable

  • Nearly or fully qualified actuary
