All About Us!
Since its beginning in 1938, Ben Venue Laboratories has been involved in the manufacture of a wide variety of sterile diagnostic and therapeutic agents for both human and veterinary use. Ben Venue is the oldest and most experienced contract manufacturer of sterile injectable products in the United States.
The National Cancer Institute awarded Ben Venue a contract to process human dosages of experimental anti-cancer chemotherapy drugs in 1966. Ever since the firm has been mainly a custom manufacturer of injectable pharmaceuticals for other drug companies.
Continued Growth
Part of the continued growth of Ben Venue was to add a generics division known as Bedford Laboratories. Housed within our facilities, Bedford Labs has expanded into a major force in the market since its inception in 1993.
In 1997, Ben Venue, Laboratories, Inc., was purchased by Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world's top 20 leading pharmaceutical corporations, with products focused on human pharmaceuticals (prescription, hospital and self-medication), as well as animal health. The corporation has almost 26,000 people worldwide, working in more than 140 affiliated companies in over 60 nations.
